The Premier Greyhound Sales team head back to Romford on Thursday 18th July and anticipate another hugely successful sale. A collection of 50 young unraced and lightly raced greyhounds will be available with something to suit every budget from something for the graded strength right through to competition class prospects. CANADIAN TOMMIE – Just 5 races on the card of this September 2022 son of Dorotas Wildcat and Any Mac. Crossed the line in 2967 when leading all the way in a super early paced performance at Cork in April and showed he’s improved significantly since then when posting 2928 around the same venue at the end of June. Dam Any Mac is a half sister to the strong running open race star Sporting Pat so definitely has stamina laden bloodlines.
ASSURULA FALLS – Just 2 races on the card of this September 2022 bitch pup and a super winner on the second of this starts when coming through in the latter stages to go on a win by 3 ½ lengths in 2965 around Clonmel. Plenty to be won with this lady over any four bend trip and potentially a little further in time.
GRAFTER – Lightly raced June 2022 dog who is already a two time race winner including a super 2145 effort at Dundalk last time out. By Ballymac Kingdom out of the 2020 Irish Cesarewitch Champion and Irish Greyhound Derby runner up in the same year Meenagh Miracle. Nice type who should be well at home in against top opposition around the likes of sales venue Romford.
INFORMER – Unraced October 2022 dog pup by Malachi out of Pinch Of Salt who is a proven producer of open class and a full sister to superstar Meenagh Miracle. Just one sprint trial on the card of Informer in which he posted 1984 around Shelbourne Park.
YAHOO MAREIKE – Outstanding unraced April 2023 bitch pup prospect who posted 1773 around Youghal in the only trial currently on her card. A young bitch very much destined for the open class scene and hailing from the esteemed Yahoo Perlena dam line must have every chance of a successful brood career of her own in the years to come. Mareike is sent to the sale by one of the leading names in breeding and rearing in Ireland Shane O’Gorman who time and time again has provided greyhounds of the very top class to the UK market.
YAHOO DIANA – Unraced May 2023 bitch pup by 2020 Irish Greyhound Derby Champion Newinn Taylor out of Yahoo Luna who is a full sister to the top-class Radical Hero who reached the final of the National Produce Stakes in 2022 and the final of the Bar One Irish Sprint Cup at Dundalk in 2023. Diana was just 4 lengths behind Mareike in the aforementioned Youghal trial and being a month younger could very well make up a good deal of that in the coming weeks. Another top class pup offering from the Shane O’Gorman camp who will be highly sought after.
GOOD PIPPY – A bitch who has progressed a lot in her schooling since her last start. From what looks to be an exceptional litter this lady like her daddy (Signet Ace) has a nice touch of early to go with the dam line of staying prodigy’s. A little cracker.
GOOD MELODY – Just coming back from her seasonal rest and her recent work has impressed for her to be put forward to this catalogue. Will be the biggest improver of this lot. Again one of the best bred on the catalogue keep a close eye.
ROSSETTI TWEET – Just the one trial on the card of this December 2022 bitch pup by Burgess Bucks out of Rossetti (UK) who won in open class at sales venue Romford. This is her maiden litter but they look to have plenty of pace and Tweet posted 1697 when comfortably winning that aforementioned trial at Clonmel. On the day sales trial is sure to prove informative but word from back home is that this litter are highly promising and Tweet in particular has been displaying a level of early and middle pace rarely seen in pups of such a young age.
ROSSETTI ELLA (ex – Rossetti Hiker) – Not a mark on the card of this full unraced sister to ‘Tweet’ who is detailed above.
DE MAGIC BOX – Lightly raced April 2022 dog from the Brendan Matthews team who looks sure to be well suited to stiff four bend trips and maybe even the shorter six bend distances available at the likes of sales venue Romford.
GALLANT KING – April 2022 son of the mighty Pestana out of Slippery Diva who is already a race winner courtesy of a terrific 2129 effort around Dundalk in April. Looks an absolute top drawer sprint / short four bend open and competition class youngster who despite tying up on the run for home in a Shelbourne Park trial last week still managed to record 2864. Huge on the day run expected from a youngster hailing from the Brendan Matthews team who are synomonous with providing quality to the UK racing scene.
CUNNIGAR MO CROI – Just the sole race on the card of this October 2022 daughter of Good News and looked a natural for the likes of sale venue Romford. Led for a long way at Clonmel only to be picked up in the latter stages and though at this stage the shorter four bend courses look ideal it’s well worth noting that dam Kiltymon Pearl was a strong running open class performer who reached the final of the Shelbourne Marathon back in 2020 so stamina could yet come into place.
BOXING MATES (ex – Arrigle Great) – August 2022 son of Good News who didn’t run badly on his sole start to date when finishing third in a Cork sprint. Was poorly drawn out wide on that occasion and looks sure to be suited by a draw nearer the middle to inside.
EASY LILLY – Unraced April 2023 bitch pup from the esteemed kennels of Barry Rock and those who know will know that is a sure sign of quality. By the sensational Grangeview Ten out of Tarastar an open class winner on the track in her own right and hailing from the Silver Dollar dam line making her a full sister to the likes of Goldies Hoddle and a half sister to such superstars as Roxholme Nidge. Breeding to die for and word emanating from the Rock establishment is that this lady has been showing plenty of ability during her rearing and schooling to date. If you’re looking for quality Lilly will be high up on your list.
EASY LASHES – Full brother to Lilly detailed above and has been showcasing exceptional promise for quite sometime now. Stunning fawn youngster who will be high up on the list of those wishing to add a pup of immense promise to their kennels.
MAGICAL BECCA – Not a mark on the card of this January 2023 daughter of Malachi out of Antigua Vows but the breeding of this lady tells you all you need to know. Vows was a top class open race performer on the track over both four and six bends and has been producing pups of outstanding quality since retiring to the breeding paddocks including the likes of Brinkleys Ginger an open race winner who has already won 6 times in top grade company at Hove this year including the final of the Jenny Bunting Memorial Sweepstake late in April. Becca has been reared and schooled to perfection and though a solid on the day run is expected she can do nothing but improve for many months to come.

YAHOO TIFFANY – May 2023 bitch pup by Ballyhimikin Jet out of Yahoo Diva with just the sole trial on her card in which she posted 1831 around Youghal. Hailing from the famed Shane O’Gorman breeding and rearing facility her new owners will be confident in receiving into their kennel a young greyhound who has been brought up in the right way and fed nothing but the best available. Promising youngster from the Cabra Dancer dam line who may just have chances of making into a brood in her own right in the years ahead.

CRYPTO COIN – Not a mark on the card of this February 2023 son of Burgess Bucks out of Smallmead a dam who needs absolutely no introduction. Landing the classic St Leger Final back in 2020 Smallmead really was a bitch of a lifetime and word is that she’s without any doubt at all began to pass on quality to her offspring. On the day trial will be of interest but looks sure to attract plenty of attention on sales day.
BLAZEAWAY BLUE – You would have had to have sealed yourself off from civilisation not to have heard the rumours surrounding Blazeaway Blue in recent times. Word has it that this son of Malachi out of Will She Pass is one of the most promising individuals to have been reared at the Sean Conway establishment in quite sometime and given the constant supply of quality performers to graduate from there that is quite some statement. Not a mark on this youngsters card but clock watchers at some of his schooling trials have been left amazed and he is fully expected to back up that promise on sales day. This youngster will not be coming cheaply of that there is no doubt but those wanting to add a competition class puppy prospect to their kennels will be taking a very keen interest.
GLENGAR AVA – Unraced January 2023 daughter of Tullig Cyrname out of Nice Mystery the open race superstar who was a finalist in both the Irish Oaks and Irish Laurels in 2018 and has been producing open class offspring in her litters to date since retiring to the breeding paddocks. Mystery being responsible for amongst many others Ower Mystery who reached the finals of both the National Produce Stakes and the Juvenile Classic on Irish soil in 2023 and has been mopping up opens for fun around Hove and Towcester since arriving in the UK. Ava without doubt one that will be winning plenty on the track but those with a keen eye on breeding will be showing plenty of attention too.
GLENGAR CHILLI – What could go wrong did go wrong on career debut for this October 2022 son of Glengar Bale but prior to that he showed there are plenty of races to be won with a couple of very notable trials of 2920 around Tralee and an 1826 effort around Thurles. Difficult to say quite where he will end up as there is so much to come from him once he’s fully clicked into place.
CORDUFF CHIME – Unraced March 2023 bitch pup by leading stud dog Droopys Sydney out of Speed Chime a top-grade winner on the track and a proven producer of top-grade performers off it. Chime has the whole of her career ahead of her and so much to come from a totally unexposed young bitch.
MIRAGE MAJESTY – Unraced March 2023 dog pup by the legendary Premier Fantasy out of Dear Oh Dear who hails from the esteemed Droopys Daneel dam line. Possibly one of the best bred greyhounds at the sale.
DROOPYS LIBRARY – Unraced puppy prospects from the Droopys team are always in demand with them constantly turning out open racing superstars time and time again. Library is a son of Malachi out of Droopys Charm who counts the likes of Droopys Eunice and Gary The Arb amongst her offspring to date. Always thought highly of throughout his rearing the early schooling trials of Library have left the team at home in little doubt that Library is heading for the top of the class.
DROOPYS LOST – Unraced November 2022 bitch pup by superstar stud dog Droopys Sydney out of Droopys Sweet who hails from the Droopys Hilda dam line and has been producing countless open and competition class performers in her litters to date. Lost has been showcasing all the hallmarks of becoming a top-class bitch in her own right but with bloodlines like hers it will be little surprise if she’s to one day become a top-class brood in her own right.
DOUBTFUL EMER – Unraced January 2023 daughter of Slippy Cian who has a couple of trials on the card to qualify in Ireland and looks set to progress nicely through the grades with the likes of sales venue Romford sure to suit perfectly.
WINDGAP DEISE – September 2022 son of Burgess Bucks who ran green as grass when a promising second on what was his career debut and thus far the only competitive start of his life at Clonmel not too long ago. Can only improve hugely but looks set for a career in the higher grades and is sure to more than pay his way.
EASY SISTER – Another top-class puppy prospect from the April 2023 mating of Grangeview Ten and Tarastar who has been showcasing huge pace on the home gallops of Barry Rocks during the course of her rearing. There will be many interested in acquiring the services of such a promising young bitch and though she’ll not come cheaply she’ll arrive with new connections with promise in abundance.
EASY TISSY – Full sister to ‘Sister’ detailed above and their on the day trial is expected to prove hugely informative.
DE MAJESTIC – Really nice type who is much better than his card to date suggests but showed he’s very much heading in the right direction on Friday evening with a sensational 2879 race victory at Shelbourne Park. After a missed break it was some effort from this youngster who still has many lengths left in the locker. This November 2022 son of Malachi out of Pennys Lauren is expected to make into a really nice open class greyhound here in the UK and as with all products of the Brendan Matthews set up will arrive with new connections in pristine condition.
CLASSIC PIPER – July 2022 son of Droopys Sydney who has highlighted his superb early pace in his 3 career races to date including when leading all the way on just his second start crossing the finish line at Waterford in 2927. Just picked up close home last time out again at Waterford but showcased he’ll be winning plenty here in the UK where the likes of Romford and the sharper four bend trips will be right up his street.
EPIC ESTIMATE – A raw March ‘23 from prolific dam jaytee Sahara. Trials at home from what we hear are impressive and is set to put it up in this competitive trial which will be fascinating. A dog for next years top races being so young. Bundles of improvement for a baby this young making the trip.
GOOD RORY – A puppy brought with the thought of all the upcoming puppy competitions in the next few weeks. A 28.90 on his book in Kilkenny along with a few showings of his pace in his three starts this fellow is one thought to be to the front of the trial results. Assured by vendors this fellow has big gears.
COLONEL – Unraced October 2022 son of Malachi out of Pinch Of Salt who of course is s full sister to the 2020 Irish Greyhound Derby Final runner up Meenagh Miracle. This youngster has been showing plenty at home and a big run on sales day is anticipated.
FRESHERS – Unraced April 2023 bitch pup by Blame The Game out of Meenagh Melody who was a regular open class winner on the track and if reports are anything to go by this maiden litter have every chance of emulating her own success.
MOVE OVER CIAN – September 2022 son of Dromana Bucko who has shown enough in trials to suggest he’ll be winning plenty on the UK graded scene. Just one race on his card to date and though well enough beaten he stood no chance with a superb 2864 winner around Clonmel. Looks set to grade nicely at whichever track he ends up at but should quickly progress landing connections a touch or two along the way.
BARNORA HORSE (ex – Emerald View) – Stunning blue brindle son of Pestana who maybe graded in too tough for his own good after winning a qualifying trial around Clonmel in a very decent 2947. A strapping 81lb pup and not 2yo until September he looks sure to benefit from a fresh start here in the UK.
DROOPYS PROCESS – January 2023 son of Droopys Sydney out of Queen Lilly who was a top-class performer on the UK open circuit regularly winning opens over both two and four bends reaching the final of the British Bred Sprint at Towcester in 2020 and of the Winter Derby at Monmore in 2021. A son of the super brood Skate On this litter have been pleasing the Droopys team for quite some time and a big run on sales day is expected.
DROOPYS ZENA – Full sister to Process detailed above with similar comments applying but with the added bonus that a future brood career is more than a distinct possibility.
LASTING CUSTOMER – Unraced September 2022 son of Dorotas Wildcat out of Going Customer. Looks set to grade in nicely and should win more than his share as he makes his way through the grades.
STEP BACK JACK – Unraced August 2022 son of Cushie Jet who displayed a nice touch of early zip when running out a wide margin winner of his latest sprint trial around Clonmel in a decent 1684.
SPORTING GARNET – Not a single mark on the card of this February 2023 son of Malachi out of Riviera who was a strong running open class performer on the track and reached the 2019 running of the Munster Oaks at Waterford. Has been producing top open class offspring with regularity since retiring to the breeding paddocks and the word form back home is that Garnet could very well be another heading in that direction.
SPORTING LAPIS – Full sister to Garnet detailed above and this young lady has two trials on the card. In the second of those she really took off beating off her sole rival by fully ten lengths in 2926 around Tralee. Could be anything at this stage.
SPEED TIME – Unraced March 2023 bitch pup and another member of the mating between Droopys Sydney and Speed Chime. Just the sole trial on this youngsters card running out a wide margin winner around Dundalk in 2286.
THUNDERBOLT – Unraced March 2023 dog pup by Our Surprise out of Jetts Roberta. Our Surprise would have been a leading player for the 2019 Irish Greyhound Derby Final having ran out an impressive winner of his semi final however injury prevented him from lining up in the main event. Roberta was a very strong runner on the track winning races over both four and six bends and her offspring have competed regularly in the higher grades. Thunderbolt looks set to win plenty over a variety of distances for new connections.
ROSSETTI FLASH – This unraced December 2022 son of Burgess Bucks out of Rossetti (UK) has been exciting his team back home from a very young age. Always displaying a huge turn of early pace both in the home paddocks and backing that up throughout schooling he posted 2966 in what was his very first four bend trial around Clonmel last week. The esteem in which this youngster is held saw connections slightly disappointed with that effort but some shrewd locals had the track running significantly on the slow side that day. The proof will be in the pudding but with Romford set to suit ideally a big run is expected and make no mistake Flash is expected to make into a high class sort.
ROSSETTI SWIFT – Unraced full brother to Flash detailed above and somewhat surprised connections by beating him off by a length in that aforementioned four bend trial at Clonmel. That saw Swift clocking a more than respectable 2959 and with mountains of improvement to come it would appear inconceivable for him not to enjoy a career in the higher grades at a minimum. Looks another member of this litter all set to be winning races for fun here in the UK.
