Coral Essex Vase ante post favourite Roswell Romanov extended his recent Romford record to eight from ten with a fastest first round victory on Friday night.
35.23 (-20) winner Romanov has been cut to 7-4 with the sponsors to land a fifth Vase for his trainer who saw five of his seven runners qualify for the semi finals. Second quickest on the night was former Irish star Peregrine Falcon with a 35.46 victory.
Overall it was a great night for Team Wallis who sent out five of the 13 winners including an eight bend debut win for Billy Bullet and a 29th career win at Romford for Evanta Fantasy.
