9-4 chance Droopys Roddick (Droopys Jet-Droopys Start, Apr 14) set a new track record with a trap to line victory in the €20,000 Dundalk International.
The Pat Buckley trained brindle trapped in front and led favourite Ballymac Matt into the first bend. In a race where only the slow breaking Cable Bay had any excuse in running Roddick extended his lead to two and three quarter lengths before crossing the line in a new track record of 29.40, seven spots inside Si Senor’s previous best.
