The former Pat Buckley trained hound went to traps at 10-11f and impressively saw off Crossfield Molly by six lengths in 28.76 (-20). His personal best over course and distance is 28.03 (+20).
Perry Barr sprint specialist Cloncunny Ardera (Hondo Black-Ardera Tara, Sep 13) went to the 275m traps for the 20th time on Saturday night and made it win number 14 (plus 2 x 2nds, 4 x 3rds). The Carla Hendy runner clocked the fastest time of the year, 15.87. There was also a 2017-quickest over the 660m course as Pat Rosney’s Fearsome Phantom (Westmead Hawk-Hesley Hawaii, May 14) beat El Nino by four in 40.21.
