Clares Rocket became the first greyhound to break the 29.00 barrier over the Derby course at Towcester on Saturday morning.
Graham Holland’s Produce Stakes winner recorded 28.94 (+10) after taking a middle course at the first bend and railing around the last. Kennelmate Drive On Tipp and Paul Hennessy’s Priceless Brandy both clocked 29.10 with Peter Cronin’s Sab Miller stopping the clock at 29.07.
