With three railers and three middles, the star studded Arena Racing Company Kent Plate has been thrown into confusion following Sunday afternoon’s draw.
First, here is a reminder of the two semi finals
From the moment that the draw was made, discussions took place trying to determine who was the best and least favoured with half the field having contested last autumn’s Kent Derby Final.
(Winner Arkady ran from T5, Runner-up Clairekeith Remy ran from T1, Hopes Paddington ran from T3).
Join Racing Manager Rob Killingbeck said: “There might be an argument that Arkady is the best drawn if he can get across from six. I was very impressed with the early pace of Hopes Paddington and Fromposttopillar ran brilliantly to qualify after literally being knocked from pillar to post.”
So put your neck on the line, who wins it?
“You are kidding aren’t you? Okay, it might come as a surprise to many but I will go for Clairekeith Remy. He has been here before and definitely looks better suited to the 500 metres. Besides, I would love to see Carl (Gardiner) do well.”
Latest betting: 5-4 Fromposttopillar, 7-4 Hopes Paddington, 13-2 Arkady, 8-1 Droopys Google, 16-1 Clairekeith Remy, 20-1 Cochise
