25 years and five months after joining Crayford as a contract trainer, Jim Reynolds is returning to the Kent track, which is just two and a half miles, as the crow flies, from his South Ockendon kennels.
He said: “We are delighted to be going back. I enjoyed six great years at Crayford before moving onto Walthamstow, and we enjoyed quite a bit of success while we were there.
“I had 48 graded runners at Towcester plus around 17 on the trials list. We are making immediate plans to run some of the dogs in inter-tracks, some in opens at Crayford and others will need to be trialled. Obviously, I can’t take them all on the same journey.
“We also have quite a few booked into opens at Central Park, Romford and Monmore. At this stage, we are trying to keep the whole operation moving and I am quite confident that the vast majority of dogs will be joining us.”
