Richard Rees is delighted with his first week as a contract trainer at Hove.
The third generation Wimbledon handler had his first graded runners last Thursday and has no regrets about the switch where he joins old colleagues Tony Taylor and Norah McEllistrim.
Richard said: “So far, absolutely brilliant. In fact its been a big relief. I was concerned at how the dogs would adapt, and how many wouldn’t grade. But I needn’t have worried, they have all graded. By this time next week I would expect to have between 30-35 runners available.
“I have only lost two owners, and that was really me advising them that their dogs were better suited to Wimbledon, and I have gained a new owners. I couldn’t be more pleased.”
