Coolavanny Rebel stole the show at Tuesday’s lengthy trial session at Belle Vue when Elaine Parker’s ECC Timber Laurels hope looked ready for big race action writes John Forbes.
The July 2013 son of Droopys Scolari, who has not raced since the end of September, recorded a calculated 27.91 on his first visit to Manchester last week and he got that down to a calculated 27.47 on a track that was rated running 30 spots slow and the only other runner to go under 28 seconds on the day was the runner-up in that trial, kennelmate Swift Champagne (27.92).
The next best was Stuart Buckland’s Ballydoyle Time, who posted a 28.07.
