I have found racing, with the new schedules in place,  difficult to maintain, at the standard I wish to turn my dogs out at. So, I have decreased the number of dogs I have in my kennel, reverting back to only having the Wachovia club racers here. I decided not to change my licence in case Rob Copping, assistant  trainer, wants to continue at a later date, have you heard any details from any other kennels , as an older trainer I am finding the morning schedule harsh, the extra run money, doesn’t cover extra staff wages.

It’s a complete farce. I live in admittedly a smallish town but it’s not a village, two bookmakers, CORALS and BETFRED I own dogs at Perry Barr, neither firms televise Perry Barr even when it’s on the BAGS. Plus, go to the RPGTV site for radio commentary and in the daytime even though it’s on BAGS and the card is on there you CAN NOT get the radio commentary either!
What a farce, talk about a sport that shoots itself in the foot?. I’m very tempted to walk away
The manageress at CORAL told me that since this nonsense started betting turnover in the shop on dogs has declined by 36%, repeat 36%, it’s barmy
Oh, and I don’t want an online account, neither do thousands of others
The sports going forward? Don’t make me laugh

Great to see another track (Towcester) commit to re homing all their retired greyhounds.
It’s time all relevant parties involved in racing greyhounds stood up & accepted their responsibilities to these magnificent athletes.
New rules & regulations (most of them long overdue) quite rightly put emphasis on the owner to do the right thing when their greyhound is no longer suitable for racing.
It’s good to see some promoters accepting they have a part to play. But what about the 3rd link in the chain IE the bookmakers?
I write regularly to various sources asking what is being done to get them all to contribute to the fund but no one seems to have a clue what is being done.  Looks to me as if the bookmakers just pay Lipsey service to making a contribution lots of talk no action.
I find it amazing that thousands of punters around the country and now around the world can use my dogs for gambling and give nothing in return. How many industries would provide a product for nothing.
A small % of the millions we are being robbed of made available to the Trust would in my opinion make re homing every retiring greyhound possible.
