Barrie Draper introduced another greyhound with star potential from his kennel at Sheffield on Tuesday where Ballymac Ramsey made a successful debut.

Making his debut in a maiden open the March 2014 son of Droopys Scolari and Ballymac Razl was odds-on after some promising trial performances and he fully justified that confidence by taking control at halfway and running on strongly to beat the experienced Toosey Queen by three and a half lengths in an estimated 29.08 (-30) for the 500 metres, fastest of the night.

Another making excellent progress at the South Yorkshire racecourse is the Lisa Stephenson-trained Cedric The Great, whose victory on Tuesday was his fourth from five starts, the last two of which have been in 660-metre opens.
