Raheen Glory took advantage of the absence of favourite Karlow Master to land his semi-final of the Langton House Hotel & TSC Derby over 525 yards at Kilkenny.
The son of Forest Master was soon clear and went on to hold Rosyinthegarden by a length in 29.06sec the fastest time of the round.
Sheila Spillane’s Burgess Four rode a first and third bend bump in the other qualifier to beat Salmon Lad by two lengths in 29.44sec.
