bags-trophy-cut-outGEELO BULLET (Sheffield)

If he had been drawn in four, he would have been my banker for the meeting. He has great early pace and does sectionals that would win sprint opens. If he comes out in front, I think he is capable of a 40.10.

SLICK STRAUSS (Towcester)

Our other ace card to get a maximum. I don’t know if he will kick on as far as our stayer last year, Ferryforth Fran, but I can see him developing into a very decent open racer in the future. I like the draw and would expect a big run from him.

BRAMBLE RUBIN (Newcastle)

I think he is going to struggle in here. He has 28.75 form over 480 which is good enough and although he stayed further in Ireland we are taking a chance. Out best bet might be that he leads and there is trouble behind. He is probably an 8-1 or 10-1 shot.

WINKER HAROLD (Peterborough)

I am not sure what to expect with six middles. Ideally we would want three in here. The big danger is the five (Tynwald Dinney) who ran particularly well when they came here.

TYNWALD DINNEY (Nottingham)

I think Dinney can lead up from five which won’t worry him at all. We will be hoping for crowding behind. He is a pacey type of stayer and I would expect him to find a bit of time on his trial which was his first run over the trip in a while.

BORNAMASSA TOM (Romford)

Sometimes trap six isn’t the worst draw with so many middle seeds but I am not convinced on this occasion. He is a genuine middle seed. He will be running on but I have no idea how the race will develop.
