VERA VANG (Sheffield)

I think she could be our dark horse. She is a genuine A1 runner and is well drawn. Her trial was ‘okay’ but she is a better bitch in racing, she keeps finding a bit more. Alma Raider is the one to beat but I think Vera will be better value and could surprise a few

FOREST LUCK (Towcester)

At her best she is the best stayer on the graded strength. She has had a few problems. On recent form she looks like a 20-1 chance in here but she is much better than that. I would certainly expect decent points from her in this company.

PRINCESS FREYA (Peterborough)

I think she has a decent enough draw. She seems a real competition dog and I would expect her to get decent points.

ALMA RADAR (Nottingham)

It has been suggested that I put Radar in the top division but I have played it as I see it and according to the rules. He really wants further but on his day, I don’t think they would see which way he went. If he is within five of six lengths of the leader off the second bend, he WILL win.

KARCHI (Romford)

He was a very cheap purchase and is realistically is a relatively moderate grader. Any points he picks up will be a bonus

GOING ALL IN (Newcastle)

I think she will need a lot of luck in here. She recently won an S1 with an impressive performance but I think in a handicap our top stayers from last year would be giving her four or five metres start.
