Drumbo Park Gold Cup winner Quietly can make his mark in the semi-finals of the Vulturi @ Stud Kingdom Derby over 525 yards at Tralee on Friday.
Ian Reilly’s runner was beaten in the first round on heavy going but got things right last week when setting the standard with 28.30sec in the second round and can overcome a trap four draw to beat the likes of Swords Fern and Baltovin Leo.
Droopys Nine, who was withdrawn lame from the Puppy Derby Final at Wimbledon last month, can take the second qualifier.
The Future Champion Stake winner was beaten in the opening round and last week struggled to beat Skywalker Leaf in a slow 29.23sec.
However Pat Buckley’s English Puppy Derby he’s much better than that and his draw in one can see him rail into the lead and hold the likes of Vincent McKenna’s Killahanstroanger and Mossie O’Connor’s 28.63sec second round winner Noelle’s Darling.
