Sunderland have confirmed that the William Hill Puppy Plate – made void on Wednesday after King Como was KO’d and raced across the in-field as the leaders approached the last bend – will be staged as the first race on Sunday morning’s BAGS card.
It will however be a three runner event following the withdrawal of King Como, litter brother King Bowie and Dower Majestic. Lukin for Henry looked all over the winner of the original race when clear coming into the last turn; odds-on favourite Droopys Trapper looked well beaten after being badly hampered in the early stages.
