Wildfire Lord won for only the second time in 18 races when causing an upset in the GMG Puppy Classic Final at Nottingham on Monday.

The winner crossed the line in 29.66 (+30), his best performance by far for the 500m course. The winner is ‘technically’ British bred, having been registered in the Greyhound Stud Book by Portlaw based Sean Dunphy, who also send out the second and third.
Lord is a younger brother to ‘Droopys’ Acrobat and Droopys Trapeze. The repeat mating also includes open winners Clairkeith Ayana and Wildfire Angel and the recently disqualified Droopys Shona. Dam Droopys Blossom (Wheres Pedro-Droopys Ourora) was British bred by Nick Savva and a litter sister to prolific Crayford open winner Westmead Lola. Ourora is a daughter of Savva’s Prestige winner Westmead Olivia (Larkhill Jo-Mega Delight)
