The opening round of Swindon’s 75th Two Year Old Produce Stakes always looked like a ‘sifting exercise’ and the fact that five of the nine heats went to very short priced odds-on favourites was no surprise.
But with only three spots between the three quickest winners, there is enough scope for this to develop into a very competitive event – possibly as early as the second round (heat 3 – see below). Quickest on the night were littermates Pocket Lola and Surprising.
