A sensational 27.53 run by Queen Joni was the highlight of three high quality BGBF British Bred Produce Stakes semi finals at Swindon on Thursday afternoon.
Liz McNair’s bitch puppy took 21 spots off Acomb Felix’s 20 minute old clock when landing her qualifier by a brindle head short of 10 lengths following a sizzling 3.90 sectional.
She was followed home by kennelmate King Ezra with the KSS Syndicate fielding half of next week’s finalists. King Capaldi had landed the opening heat in 27.87.
The three Kent breds will be joined in the decider by two Yorkie Acombs with Acomb Alfie splitting Capaldi and Memphis while Felix held off the Melton Mowbray bred Romeo Hanzo what was then a new clock of 27.74.
With five of the six semi finalists having broken 27.90, the 77th Produce has proven a fabulous advert for British breeding.
