GBGB is pleased to announce that Meriel France has been appointed as Stipendiary Steward for the South-West region to replace Jim Snowden who will be leaving GBGB at the end of September.
Meriel is a trained veterinary nurse and has recently been working as a consultant to the animal care industry and has been a lecturer in animal care and dog grooming. She devised a Quality Assurance Standard for pet retailers and has worked with local authority licencing inspectors in the past. She has also worked with the Kennel Club as an auditor and is the Editor of Total Boarding magazine.
Meriel’s cousin is Greyhound Trainer Doug Butler, she has fond memories growing up with independent greyhound racing in her formative years and is looking forward to working with greyhounds again.
Meriel joins the GBGB on August 30th.
