The Greyhound Board of Great Britain has decided to re-run the election for a Practitioner Director to represent greyhound owners after an administrative error led to some owners receiving multiple voting forms and some eligible owners not receiving forms. New voting forms will be sent out next week and the election will close to voting Friday July 20.

GBGB Managing Director Mark Bird said: “I apologise for the fact that we are having to re-run the vote but I’m sure people will understand that we want the process conducted fairly and properly and I’m grateful for people bearing with us”.

All votes that have already been cast will be deemed null and void and eligible owners are requested to cast their votes again. Only the new green voting cards will be counted at the offices of the Barnes Roffe LLP on Tuesday July 24.
