Premier Greyhound Sales – Yarmouth Preview

Premier Greyhound Sales head to Yarmouth this coming Thursday 25th April for the latest instalment of their hugely popular events.  A wide variety of greyhounds will be available from some of the leading teams in the sport and as usual each and every one of the available lots are inspected by Mark Pierrepont – 

RINGSEND RIHANNA – Lightly raced July 2022 daughter of Ballymac Bolger. Already a race winner when landing the odds on debut at Drumbo Park over 335 yards. Should prove a useful addition to any graded set up where sprints and the shorter four bend courses should suit well.

DERRAMORE DIVA – Unraced June 2022 bitch pup by the pacey Blame The Game. Has shown pace in the only two trials on her card to date around Dundalk and Drumbo Park respectively and can only improve for experience.

STRIKE IT DEBBIE – Unraced September 2022 daughter of the sensational Droopys Sydney out of Sporting Faith who is closely related to plenty of open race types. This is Faith’s maiden litter and they’re already winning races on the track.

ONLY ME – Not a single mark on the card of this March 2022 daughter of Kyle Mozart out of Linden Lucy so obviously a coursing bred lady but schooling trials have indicated a liking for the track and her on the day trial will be of interest.

STONEPARK NIALL – November 2022 son of Burgess Bucks out of Stonepark Annie who produced Stonepark Jim in her maiden litter to Ballymac Best. Jim of course has been a regular open race winner here in the UK with flying victories at Towcester , Nottingham , Suffolk Downs and of course twice at sale venue Yarmouth. Niall posted 2961 around Cork in what is to date the only trial on his card. Promising sort whose on the day trial will attract plenty of attention.

STONEPARK HARRY – Full brother to Niall detailed above who has just one trial on his card to date and that being a winning one by 2 lengths in 2983 around Cork. Another with plenty of promise.

RAPIDO SHAN – Just 3 races on the card of this August 2022 son of Dorotas Wildcat and Spooks Me and already a good winner when over coming a missed break to pace up and win well around Enniscorthy in 2961. Long run up of Yarmouth should suit ideally and looks set to make into a nice grader here in the UK.

RAPIDO TED – Full brother to Shan detailed above and this youngster has always shown plenty of pace at home and in his early schooling trials. Backed that opinion up when clocking 2891 around Waterford in his initial qualifying trial indicating that this was a pup destined for the open race scene but has very much looked in need of the experience in his 3 career races to date. Ran out a 10 length winner of a Waterford trial last week and once again showed his ability crossing the finish line in 2888. Looks a pacey type with early indications being that he will improve massively over the coming months.

BLACK CHINTZ – Unraced September 2022 daughter of Skywalker Canny out of Newinn Melody who is a full sister to the superstar Irish Derby champion of 2020 Newinn Taylor amongst many other open and competition class performers. Chintz ran out a wide margin winner of the only trial on her card in 1796 around Cork and looks to be a very promising lady indeed.

OMNIVERT – Unraced September 2022 daughter of Skywalker Canny out of Blackwalk Joanne a strong running four and six bend type on the track herself and with just two trials on the card with an initial 1837 around Cork followed up with an improved 1821  Omnivert looks a promising type given that her breeding suggests she’ll need a stiff four bends as a minimum before showing anything like her best.

EXPLOSIVE QUEEN – Unraced open class prospect by Droopys Sydney out of Love Honey who is of course well proven as a brood being responsible for the likes of UK open racing superstar Havana Lover amongst many others. Queen has some seriously promising trials on the card including 2882 Limerick , 2887 Clonmel and most recently breaking the 18 second barrier on her first sighter of Drumbo Park  with a wide margin victory in 1798. No doubt a bitch pup of immense promise both for the track initially and given her bloodlines no doubt in the breeding paddocks later in life.

KILGRANEY WILD – January 2022 son of Dorotas Wildcat who already has 3 race wins on the card around Kilkenny with a best of 2937 when routing mid grade opposition in February. Will arrive fit and ready to get the job done early for his new connections here in the UK.

MIKEYS MO – Not a mark on the card of this August 2022 son of Ballymac Anton and Mikeys Gift. Litter sister Granda Rodge won first time of asking at The Valley earlier this month in A4 so looks a pup with promise and Mo was always rated highly during the rearing process with schooling indications having been very promising too.

MIKEYS CURLEY – Litter brother to Mo detailed above and very similar comments applying.

DERRYGRATH RUTH – Open class bitch pup prospect by Burgess Bucks out of Yahoo Zara who hails from a breeding establishment well versed in supplying the UK with quality open and competition class performers. Reared to perfection at the set up of Shane O’Gorman Ruth showcased her potential in no uncertain terms with a quite stunning qualifying trial of 2935 around Waterford just this week. Can only improve for many months to come. Dam Zara hails from the Coolavanny Royce line which has produced countless open and competition class performers including the likes of Coolavanny Pet and Skywalker Rafa. Indeed Zara’s maiden litter to Laughil Blake has already seen Coolavanny Olly winning opens at Romford and Central Park as well as Coolavannydelboy who earlier this month won in open class at Sunderland.

DERRYGRATH HAZEL – Unraced sister to Ruth detailed above who was beaten off just 3 lengths by her sibling in that aforementioned trial around Waterford. Another with super promise.

BACON BAGUETTE (ex – Rapido Way) – August 2022 dog pup by Dorotas Wildcat who has looked green and need of experience in trials to date but can only improve over the summer months.

PERFECTO LOMAX – Unraced August 2022 son of Droopys Sydney out of Scooter who posted 1681 around Waterford in the only trial currently on his card. Sure to make into a nice grader with all the tough rearing and schooling work already complete for his new connections.

FARRIERSDAUGHTER – Unraced September 2022 bitch pup from the litter of Skywalker Canny and Blackwalk Joanne who has shown great promise in her two trials to date with an initial 1927 followed up with a hugely improved 1818 effort around Cork.

DA GOINGS GOOD – Unraced September 2022 dog pup from the aforementioned Skywalker Canny x Blackwalk Joanne litter whose initial 1836 Cork trial was followed up with an improved 1804 next time at the track. With mountains of improvement to come this lad looks to be a very promising sort indeed.

DROOPYS GLAM – Unraced October 2022 bitch pup from the esteemed Droopys breeding establishment. From the mating of Droopys Sydney out of Droopys Pickles who counts many open and competition class greyhounds amongst her offspring to date. Glam has been pleasing the team at home and looks sure to prove a useful addition to her new kennel.

DROOPYS VELOCITY – Another exciting unraced puppy prospect from Team Droopys this time an October 2022 son of Romeo Recruit out of Droopys Hunch who herself was a super open class performer on the track reaching the 2019 running of the Juvenile Derby around Shelbourne Park and counting Broadstrand Bono who ran out a hugely impressive winner of that aforementioned final amongst her illustrious litter mates. Has been pleasing his knowledgeable team greatly thus far and without any doubt looks sure to be one of the most popular lots of the day.

BADMINTON SATIE – Just the sole race on the card of this September 2022 son of Newinn Taylor and Badminton Razl and though looking in need of the experience still posted up a time of 2978 around Waterford. With plenty to come off that figure there is every reason to believe this strong running sort should be plying his trade in the higher grades here in the UK.

STYLE MODEL – Just the two races on the card of this August 2022 son of Cabra Firmino and Freedom Sandy and has shown a fair degree of promise in both of those with runs of 2989 and 2983 around Thurles. One for the graded scene who should more than pay his way.

GOOD OREO – Oreo is a very raw youngster who can only improve massively in the coming months. An impeccably bred pup is from a very promising litter who has been showing huge staying power during schooling. 

EPIC FIRE – This fellow is showing great potential in his schooling. Steel is showing huge all round pace and looks like making into a real nice sort who will be winning plenty of decent events for new connections.

RAPIDO BEN – August 2022 son of Dorotas Wildcat out of Cracked Lady the Irish Puppy Oaks champion of 2019 who has been producing high grade and open class types in her litters to date. Ben has always been well thought if but maybe he was asked a question or two too much a little too soon judging upon one or two green efforts to date. Connections have been reluctant to let him go cheaply safe in the knowledge that there is plenty in the locker and with a couple of promising races now under his belt including when recording 2932 around Waterford last time out who can blame them.

PERFECTO LENIHAN – Not a single mark on the card of this August 2022 son of Droopys Sydney out of Scooter. Reared and schooled to perfection by his team back home in Waterford this lad is expected to make up into a useful performer over the coming months.

BUZEYS LADY – Unraced September 2022 daughter of Cabra Firmino out of Black Buzey whose maiden litter to Pestana and indeed this litter are already winning races. Some promising trials already on the card including a 3009 effort around Kilkenny. Looks sure to win plenty on the UK graded scene.

TAYLORMADE BONO – August 2022 son of Broadstrand Bono out of Express Shine who performed in open class around Shelbourne Park and is closely related to many top class performers. She certainly looks to be passing on her ability to her pups with Bono himself having recorded 2962 around Limerick in the very first four bend trial of his life. Very much in need of the experience in the only race on his card at Limerick and sure to progress over the coming weeks and months.

EASY IZZY – Super December 2022 unraced open class prospect from the famed Barry Rocks establishment which has become synomonous with sending quality performers to the UK time and time again. This daughter of Ballymac Cashout and Jumeirah Zena has not a single mark on her card however there is little doubt from her shrewd connections that she’s a high class individual in the making.

EASY PLAYER – Full unraced brother to Izzy detailed above. Has just one race on his card and backed up some highly promising trial efforts to come from behind in a Drumbo Park sprint winning in 1812 and pulling clear to the pick up. Heading for a career in extremely good class here in the UK and his undoubted early pace should benefit him greatly.

DERRYGRATH FREYA – Unraced November 2022 daughter of Burgess Bucks out of Yahoo Zara who has been pleasing the shrewd Shane O’Gorman for sometime now. Very much in need of the experience when sent to Waterford for what is so far the only trial on her card so it is pleasing that she still managed to beat off her sole rival by fully 10 lengths in 2981.

DERRYGRATH LAURA – Litter sister to Freya detailed above who posted 3022 around Waterford in the only trial to date on her card. Can do nothing but improve and difficult to predict quite how far she can go but should have little difficulty manoeuvring her way through the UK graded system.

STONEPARK LILLY – Unraced November 2022 daughter of Burgess Bucks out of Stonepark Annie who in her maiden litter to Ballymac Best produced UK open racing star Stonepark Jim. Posted 2997 in the only trial currently on her card at Cork.

STONEPARK SPICE – Super open class puppy prospect from the November 2022 litter of Burgess Bucks and Stonepark Annie. Has just the one trial on her card but confirmed why she’s been held in such high regard at home with a stunning 2933 effort around Cork. Falls into the ‘could be anything’ category and there will be many eyes on her come sales day.

BALLYGLOSS MAXIE (ex – Bogger Maxine) – Unraced November 2022 bitch pup from the maiden litter of the strong running six bend open class performer Bogger Megan. Fully expected to make into a nice sort who will only come into her own for experience and quite likely a step up in distance once fully matured.

BALLYGLOSS MIKE (ex – Bogger Wonder) – Unraced full brother to ‘Maxie’ detailed above who won the only four bend trial of his life in 3048 around Kilkenny. Mountains of improvement to come and looks certain to progress nicely through the graded system at any track here in the UK.

ROSSA ROLEX – Unraced June 2022 bitch pup with open class prospects if her stunning 1816 trial success around Thurles is anything to go by. Those that know Thurles form will understand that’s a time only recorded by pups with huge potential and this daughter of Ballymac Bolger and Chubbys Rolex is sure to prove popular come sales day. Dam ‘Rolex’ reached the final of the Kasko Foods Novice Stake at Thurles back in 2019 after two sensational victories in each of the first two rounds.

MOVE OVER ARCHIE – Unraced September 2022 dog pup by the exciting Dromana Bucko out of Palace Queen. Just the two trials on this young lads card posting 1670 in the most recent of those around Clonmel in a wide margin success. Dam ‘Queen’ is well proven in the breeding paddocks producing top grade and open class types with regularity.

RAPIDO CAMILLA – Unraced November 2022 bitch pup by Kinloch Brae out of Vancouver the 2018 Irish Bitch Of The Year. ‘Camilla’ has just the sole trial on her card to date and posted 2958 around Waterford. With plenty left in the locker she looks sure to make into a nice type as the year progresses.

PERFECTO DUPONT – Unraced August 2022 dog pup by Droopys Sydney out of Scooter. Headed to the Towcester sale last month off the back of a promising 2946 trial around Waterford but despite recording a more than decent 3052 on sale day headed back home to Ireland unsold. Connections have great belief in this one and he is sure to make up into a high grade type.

FREDA MY BLONDIE – Stunning looking light fawn lady who as just an August 2022 whelp has plenty left in the locker for sometime to come. Just the one four bend trial on the card of this daughter of Pat C Sabbath and Slaneyside Twirl in which she recorded 2988 around Cork. Dam ‘Twirl’ won opens at Nottingham , Perry Barr , Hove and Henlow here in the UK and has been producing plenty in the way of winners since retiring to the breeding paddocks.

ROMANTIC ICON – Unraced May 2022 coursing bred lady who has been showing a liking for the track in her schooling trials thus far. By the sensational ‘Metal Man’ this lady will lack nothing in heart and desire.

DARK TROOPER – A rangy dog with very little experience. Looks to be a strong running type. With his whole career ahead of him he could be anything.

GOOD STEEL – Steel is a big rangy dog who took some time to come to hand. Lightly schooled this guy is bound to improve bundles with each passing week. A very well bred fellow with some open class comrades Steel looks to be a decent tracker in the making.

DROOPYS NATALIE – What a prospect this unraced January 2023 bitch pup is. A daughter of Coolavanny Hoffa out of Droopys Thelma ‘Natalie’ has been impressing the team at Droopys Stud for many months giving off huge indications that she’s set to follow in the footsteps of previous offspring of her dam and make into a top class sort.

DROOPYS CHAMPION – Another exciting unraced prospect from one of the leading breeder rearing operations in the game. The prefix Droopys is known the world over and given their results it’s easy to see why. ‘Champion’ could be just that as this son of Droopys Sydney and Droopys Pickles has been showcasing top class potential on the home gallops. There is little doubt at all that there will be plenty hanging about until late in the day in an effort to get their hands on this one. Dam ‘Pickles’ always produces a high class sort many of which don’t come into their own until stepped up in trip once fully matured.

PERPENDICULAR – Unraced September 2022 bitch pup by Skywalker Canny out of Newinn Melody who posted 2981 around Cork in what was only the second four bend trial of her life.

ARDAGIO – Unraced September 2022 dog pup by Skywalker Canny out of Coolavanny Aldi who won the only trial on his card by 4 lengths in 1832 around Cork. Dam ‘Aldi’ has produced some nice top grade / small open types in her litters to date and this youngster looks a promising sort.

A DROOPYS SHAKIRA – Unraced November 2022 daughter of Droopys Sydney and Droopys Gifted. Highly thought of back home at the Droopys academy and one to keep an eye on that’s for sure.

B LADY AVA – April 2022 bitch who has had no luck in her races to date but will prove to be a solid enough grader here in the UK.

C RINGSEND DREAM – Black and white April 2022 bitch with a 2974 race win on the card around Drumbo Park and recorded 2979 in a Shelbourne Park trial earlier this month. Solid graded type.

D SWIFT QAY – Unraced September 2022 son of Pestana and Swift Zap who posted 3042 when winning the only trial of his life to date by a length at Clonmel. Sought after wide runner.
