Jess has just the one trial on her card which came over the sprint trip at Limerick. The best of this youngster won’t be seen for a long time yet and given her breeding she will likely appreciate a stern test of stamina as she matures.
MOANTEEN PEGGY – what a prospect this raw August 2022 bitch pup is. A daughter of the mighty Pestana and Moanteen Izzy a strong running open class performer on the track and already proven as a brood with her first litter to Ballymac Anton already putting in some very nice performances. Peggy stopped the clock in 2933 in what was her first ever try over 4 bends at Cork recently. Just an April 2022 whelp she hails from the esteemed set up of the ‘Newry Maestro’ Brendan Matthews so there is no doubt she will have been reared with no expense spared and given every chance to reach the highest level. Just 1 trial on her card which came at Shelbourne Park where she posted an outstanding 2916. Percilla is a daughter of the super brood Toms Delight and hails from the December 2015 litter to Tyrur Big Mike making her a full sister to the likes of Innocent Times and Dolce Vita. Saved Your Bacon looks like making into a quality performer both on the track and in the breeding paddocks in the years to come.
ROCK WOOD – February 2022 son of Airmount Nando and Burgess Millie who has just the 3 educational races on his card over the sprint trip at Drumbo Park but judging by his 2891 effort in a qualifying trial at Limerick it’s over 4 bends where he will excel. Should prove to be a shrewd purchase by his new connections and looks very likely to make into a very smart performer.
HANDSINTHEAIR – strong running and lovely looking black and white bitch who has a 2911 posted at Shelbourne Park recently. Well capable of some big runs over a variety of trips and will stay any 4 bend trip in the UK with ease and may quite possibly be well suited by the short 6 bend trips at the likes of Romford and Crayford.
RING OF ROSES – hugely promising June 2022 bitch from the mating between Ballymac Kingdom and Meenagh Miracle the superstar track performer who reached the final of the 2020 Irish Derby and emerged victorious in the final of the Cesarewitch at Mullingar later that year in a track record time. Miracle was a bitch of the highest quality and it looks as if she’s very much passed on that talent to her offspring with Roses having posted 2897 at Shelbourne Park in the only trial so far on her card. Big run expected on the day from this lady and sure to attract plenty of attention in the ring.
LA FENIX – March 2022 bitch pup by Deerjet Sydney out of Velvet Spring who won at just the third time of asking recently when running out an easy winner of 300 yard race at Lifford. Dam Spring is an extremely well related type being a daughter of the fantastic Jumeirah Lolls. Lots to come from a very likeable youngster with a great attitude to her racing.
RAPIDO MILLER – just the 1 trial to date on the card of this July 2022 son of Pestana and Perfecto Rosie where he recorded a more than decent 2987 at Clonmel. Rosie’s maiden litter to Sparta Maestro have been performing well with her being responsible for the likes of Henlow open race winner Rapido King , Rapido Uncle already a maiden open winner at Oxford and of course Rapido Lady who is already a 6 time open race winner here in the UK including a first round heat win in the Juvenile Classic at Towcester and a finalist in the prestigious English Derby Final night Greyhound Trader Stakes competition earlier this year.
RAPIDO VEINTE – unraced May 2022 open race puppy prospect who recorded a superb 2938 in the very first trial of his life. A son of Cabra Firmino and Groupie Diva this youngster is expected to make into a very nice sort. This litter are already winning races and Veinte could very well be the best of him. Plenty left in the locker which puts his sole trial to date very much into context.
DROOPYS DIALOGUE – not a mark on the card of this unraced August 2022 son of Droopys Sydney and Droopys Fia. A strong running open class performer on the track Fia produced the win machine Droopys Fit Bit in her maiden litter to Droopys Sanchez. Dialogue is reported by the famed Droopys team to have been showing great promise during his rearing and schooling and there will be many eyes on his on the day trial.
DROOPYS WILLYA – again not a mark on the card of this product of team Droopys. A July 2022 pup by Droopys Sydney out of Classic Quest who has produced plenty of good winners in her litters to date. Reports suggest Willya will be another and again his trial on the day will be all important.
MIKEYS BULL – February 2022 son of Ballymac Anton and Bull Run Gem. Has looked in need of experience in 2 graded races on Irish soil but should stay any 4 bend trip here in the UK and likely to improve for a good while yet.
ROCKMOUNT MEL – unraced May 2022 daughter of Good News and Rockmount Wings. Just the 1 trial on the card so far which came over the Enniscorthy sprint trip but bound to improve over further and for some time to come given her breeding.
DE PENNYS – outstanding prospect from the Newry headquarters of Brendan Matthews. This unraced April 2022 daughter of Good News and Pennys Lauren posted 2937 in a Shelbourne Park trial just a couple of weeks ago. After winning her first round heat of the prestigious Red Mills and NTSC Unraced Stake at Newbridge Lauren went on to reach the final of that event in 2019. A super open race performer with bloodlines to match it looks as if she’s passing on her undoubted talent to her offspring with the whole litter showing great promise.
LUCKY SEVENS – unraced April 2022 competition class prospect out of the very top drawer. Reared and schooled to perfection this product of the Brendan Matthews academy impressed massively in what is so far the only trial on his card. This son of Broadstrand Bono and Hop The Ball had all those in attendance at a Shelbourne Park trial session a couple of weeks ago sitting up and taking note when despite entering the traps for his first and only trial on the card he destroyed his sole rival by fully 4 lengths in a time of 2907. Huge on the day run expected and likely to be the subject of some fierce bidding.
BEAMING POWER – just 1 race on the card of this July 2022 son of Doolin Duke and Beaming Shiraz and he produced a gutsy display to win in a time of 2947 at Limerick. Dam Shiraz has produced plenty of top grade and open class types previously and no reason to believe this isn’t another. With plenty left to come his new connections look all set to enjoy a successful 2024.
BEAMING STARLET – unraced July 2022 daughter of Doolin Duke and Beamingboomerang who was a six bend open race winner on the track. Starlet posted 2960 in her only 4 bend trial to date around Limerick and with her breeding it’s likely she’ll not be seen to best effect for quite some time yet.
MEENAGH MINEY – unraced July 2022 bitch pup by Droopys Sydney out of Meenagh Midget who has produced some really nice race winners in her litters to date including Meenagh Mullarky who was a first round heat winner in the East Anglian Derby just a couple of months ago. Posted 2962 in the only trial on his card to date around Shelbourne Park.
MEENAGH MISSION – outstanding June 2022 puppy open / competition class prospect. A daughter of Ballymac Kingdom and Meenagh Miracle she looked to stay every single yard and further of the 525 yards at Shelbourne when beating off the sole rival in the only trial on her card by fully 16 lengths in a fantastic 2914 just last week. Dam Miracle was a superstar on the track winning many races but most notably of all the Irish Cesarewitch 600 at Mullingar in 2020. If it’s quality you’re looking for then Mission most certainly fits the bill.
RAPIDO TAYLOR – unraced July 2022 son of Pestana and Perfecto Rosie who posted 2957 at Clonmel in what is so far the only trial on his card. Weighed in at 78lb that day and looks sure to improve for many months to come.
RAPIDO JOHNSON – unraced full brother to Taylor detailed above. Just 5 lengths behind him in their recent trial and again plenty left in the locker for new connections to work with.
FLUFFY JOHN – unraced March 2022 puppy open / competition class prospect reared at one of the leading establishments in Ireland by Shane O’Gorman. A breeding rearing set up synonymous with producing top class talent year after year and Fluffy John looks all set to make his mark in the coming months. Just 1 trial on his card he posted 2914 at Clonmel. Fluffy John is a son of Droopys Sydney and Please Saxa who is a full sister to the Irish star Kameko winner of the Michael Fortune Memorial Plate Final in 2021 amongst many other big races.

TRILLER – outstanding unraced July 2022 puppy bitch prospect from the home of the Newry Maestro Brendan Matthews. A daughter of Droopys Sydnet and Dolce Vita big things are expected from this young lady both on the track and in the breeding paddocks later in life.

MARKET GROUP – sensational performance last time out from this pacey son of Broadstrand Bono. Leading all the way to win around Waterford in 2865 he is an experienced sort who will arrive with new connections fit and ready to get the job done just ahead of Christmas.
MARKET SUNRISE – strong running son of Out Of Range ASB this strapping 85lb greyhound battled all the way to the line to win last time out at Waterford in 29 dead.
MEENAGH MOE – unraced July 2022 bitch pup by Droopys Sydney out of Meenagh Midget. Really promising effort in the only trial on her card staying on strongly to record 2946 at Shelbourne Park. Looks sure to be well suited by stiff tests of stamina and will likely find the likes of Hove and other strong running tracks ideal.
MEENAGH MEENEY – unraced litter sister to Moe detailed above and beat her off in the aforementioned trial at Shelbourne Park by 2 length recording 2932. Like her sibling stayed every inch of the trip and looks a real nice type for the future both on the track and in the breeding paddocks.
IVY HILL CHERRY – unraced June 2022 bitch pup by Droopys Sydney out of Ballyverry Sarah who posted 2955 at Limerick when running out a wide margin winner of the only trial on her card. Weighed in at 70lb that day this young lady looks sure to be able to handle herself well on the track.
IVY HILL JAKE – just 2 races on the card of this March 2022 son of Good News and Coolavanny Chick and showed he’d learned plenty from his debut effort when coming from behind second time out to land a decent race at Galway by fully 5 lengths in 2909. Real nice prospect and a wide seed to boot should see him being an attractive proposition on the day.
RAPIDO GARCIA – unraced July 2022 son of Pestana and Perfecto Rosie. A stunning blue brindle greyhound he has just the 1 trial on his card to date which came at Clonmel. He gave the impression that the outing was vastly needed and there is surely plenty to work with for new connections.
RAPIDO AVA – full unraced sister to Garcia detailed above this stunning blue brindle and white youngster looked a class act in the making when bearing off her brother by a long way in the aforementioned trial. Will be winning plenty here in the UK and carries the could be anything tag at this early stage of her career.
RUNNING SHADOW – October 2021 son of Broadstrand Bono who has already demonstrated his ability both from the back of the pack and off the front. Two time race winner in Ireland it was his run at Enniscorthy late in August where he showcased a devastating display of early pace to destroy his rivals in a top class 2878 which really catches the eye.

DROOPYS HASTE – not a mark on the card of this July 2022 son of Dorotas Wildcat and Droopys Charm who’s maiden litter to Droopys Sydney have been winning some nice races including the likes of De Black Swallow a 3 time top grade winner around Kilkenny and Droopys Beta who has been competing in open class at Shelbourne Park on her 2 most recent starts. Lots to come and being from the Droopys set up no stone will have been left unturned to this point.
DROOPYS MANEBI – full sister to Haste detailed above and this young lady has reportedly been showing a nice turn of pace on the home gallops. A track career at a high level awaits but her bloodlines suggest a breeding career is more a probability than a possibility.
