A sample taken from the greyhound LITTLE EMIR, trained by Gary Carmichael, from the first round of the Greyhound Derby has returned a positive result. Under GBGB Rule 173(ii), a greyhound is disqualified from the competition at the stage of the competition at which a sample was taken and subsequently found positive. LITTLE EMIR has been withdrawn from the Derby under Rule 69A(i).
Samples taken from other greyhounds which have qualified for the second round of this competition have returned negative screens.
