Assistant trainer Rab McNair admitted that he had been waiting for Thursday night for around six months.
The kennel’s Havana Lover produced an outstanding display in the fastest first round win of the PGR St.Leger.
Rab said: “I didn’t want to wish my life away, but when she was running in those puppy competitions at Towcester, I new that her future was always going to be over longer distances. She has come through the race in fabulous condition and could race again this morning.”
