Perry Barr are looking for a trainer (s), with immediate effect, to supply around thirty racing dogs. Their current kennel strength is around the 300 mark, supplied by 34 different kennels.
Racing Manager Martin Seal said: “The year started off well enough, but numbers have gradually dwindled to a point where we are running ten or eleven race cards when I would like twelves and thirteens. I have had a couple of Doncaster trainers apply to join us but wouldn’t want to make life difficult for Mick (Smith, racing manager) while they still have a BAGS commitment. I would anticipate they will both join us later in the summer but they will probably only have around 15 dogs between them anyway – at least at the start – so we will keep looking.”
While they await the new appointments, the track are considering the option of extending the weekly open race schedule from fortnightly to weekly.
