MY AMBITION – Unraced October 2021 son of Good News and Maria Rita who clocked 1737 around Clonmel in the only trial on his card. Rita was a strong running top grade performer on the track and counts the likes of Ballymac Anton , Arminta , Wisdom and Kingdom amongst her half siblings. Has been showing plenty of promise from an early stage of the rearing and schooling processes and looks like making into a real nice type here in the UK.
SOBER DUDE – Unraced September 2021 son of Pestana and Sober Pearl a novice open class winner on the track with the pace to record 2875 around Kilkenny. This is Pearls maiden litter and all reports have been that they have been showing immense promise in the rearing stage and in early schooling trials with Dude himself a recent ½ length winner of a 2 dog sprint trial at Kilkenny in 1699.
MAGICAL BLOSSOM – Unraced September 2021 daughter of Good News and Burgess Sarah who was an open class winner on the track here in the UK and closely related to many other open and competition class performers. This is Sarah’s second litter with her first to Droopys Buick producing open class performers such as Magical Camilla. Just two trials on the card of Blossom where her initial 1868 around Thurles was followed up with a sensational 2879 Limerick over 525 yards. Highly thought of bitch pup with top class potential and plenty of room for improvement for many months to come.
LONG DEBATE – Unraced October 2021 dog pup by Wolfe out of Bay City Lexi a top grade performer on the track and counts the likes of Sunshine Dream finalist in the 2022 Produce Stakes at Clonmel and the 2023 Kingdom Derby at Tralee. Long Debate has already recorded 2941 around Limerick marking him out as an above average sort and with plenty yet to come he could prove to be a very nice addition to any kennel in the land.
RAPIDO CASTLE – Unraced December 2021 son of Pestana and Cracked Lady without a single mark on his card. Lady was a memorable winner of the Irish Puppy Oaks in 2019 and has been producing top grade and open class types since retiring to the breeding paddocks. Castle is a highly rated sort who is expected to win plenty here in the UK.
RAPIDO MATEO – Unraced February 2022 dog pup who is a son of Ballymac Bolger and Ela Juliet who was an open class winner on the track and has been producing some pacey animals off it. This raw youngster has so much more to come and whatever he does on the day there can be an unlimited amount of improvement still to come.
AMYS JET – March 2021 son of Ardnasool Jet and Alanas Beauty who encountered much in the way of trouble when making his career debut in the first round of the Champion Unraced Stake at Kilkenny. Can fully be expected to leave that sole line of form way behind however as this youngster advertised his undoubted open class potential with a 2871 trial around Shelbourne Park on what was his very first time over four bends. Real nice type who will prove to be a very welcome addition to any forward thinking kennel.
OFF GUARD – Unraced August 2021 son of the mighty Pestana and Dolce Vita who was an emphatic 7 length winner of the only trial on his card around Shelbourne Park in 1958. This youngster has caught the eye of his knowledgeable breeder for many months now and is expected to prove an exciting addition to the UK racing scene. Dam Dolce Vita is well proven and counts the likes of superstar bitch Antigua Sugar category one Juvenile Classic Champion , Coronation Cup winner and a winner of opens over trips from 480m to 712m plus Tullovin Vita the 2022 Irish Oaks Finalist and Wide Open the category one Towcester Maiden Derby Finalist of 2022 amongst her notable offspring.
GOOD ELLIE – Unraced November 2021 daughter of Grangeview Ten and Royston News who was a top grade performer on the track and has produced some pacey sorts off it in her maiden litter to Droopys Buick. This second litter have reportedly been showing even more potential during the rearing and schooling processes with Ellie herself having recorded 1846 in what is so far the only trial on her card around Thurles.
EPIC GIRL – Unraced November 2021 daughter of Good Cody and Drifting Abby who is a full sister to the fantastic Jaytee Spartacus Monmore Gold Cup Winner of 2016 and a producer of some high grade and open class offspring in her first two litters. Epic Girl recorded 2947 Kilkenny in what was her first ever trial over four bends recently which very much marks her out as an above average sort and her on the day trial will be of interest.
LATE BUCKS – Unraced January 2022 baby this daughter of Burgess Bucks and Yahoo Amelia couldn’t have been much more impressive when winning the first and so far only trial on her card by fully 22 lengths around Enniscorthy in 2975. Amelia won the only race of her life in novice open company around Waterford and counts the likes of super brood Coolavanny Pet (mother of Pestana amongst many other stars) amongst her half siblings. Well regarded youngster with both track and brood potential going forward.
PADDY SAYS SHOOT – Unraced September 2021 son of Pestana and Droopys Daffy who herself was an open class winner on the track and being a daughter of super brood Droopys Coast is closely related to many greyhound racing superstars including the likes of Droopys Curio one of the fastest bitches of all time. Paddy recorded 1946 in a recent 350 yard trial around Enniscorthy.
DROOPYS BELLA – Unraced December 2021 bitch pup by Burgess Bucks out of Droopys Berry who was a finalist in the Red Mills Champion Unraced 525 in 2018 before being retired to the breeding paddocks. Since then Berry has produced many open class performers including the sensational 2021 Puppy Classic Champion Bubbly Apache. Bella has received the best of everything during her rearing with the famed Droopys team and looks all set to enjoy a successful track career before becoming a brood later in life. Not a single mark on this young ladies card so her on the day trial will have many eyes cast upon it.
DROOPYS THURAM – Unraced December 2021 dog pup by Droopys Buick out of Droopys Saab a sensational top grade / open class performer on the track and has gone on to produce some quality open class offspring off it. This lad hasn’t a mark on his card but has been showing the team at home that he’s an above average sort who is fully expected to make into decent class here in the UK.
MAGICAL PRIYA – Unraced November 2021 daughter of Good Cody and Antigua Vows the strong running four and six bend open race winner. This is Vows second litter with her first to Skywalker Logan in the early stages of their racing careers and most are already winning races and showing great promise. Priya’s initial 1854 Thurles was followed up last week with a superb 10 length trial winning effort in 1893 at Limerick which marks her out as a bitch pup of immense promise.
MAGICAL BELLA – Unraced October 2021 daughter of Grangeview Ten and Kitmins Misty who is a full sister to the Irish open racing start Kameko who was such a memorable winner of the Michael Fortune Memorial Plate at Shelbourne Park in 2021. This is Mistys maiden litter with Bella having followed up her 1839 Thurles trial with an excellent 2901 Limerick on her first and so far only effort over four bends. Huge potential and sure to attract much attention.
RAPIDO DESIRE – Unraced December 2021 son of Droopys Buick and Scooter. Hailing from the Allen Harbour dam line this is Scooter’s maiden litter and they have been showing all the right signs during there formative months. Many months of natural improvement to come and this lad falls firmly into the could be anything category.
RAPIDO MARY – Unraced December 2021 bitch and another member of the aforementioned Droopys Buick x Scooter litter. Has been reared to perfection and should prove to be a very useful addition to her new connections kennel.
ANNAGH SASSY – Unraced October 2021 daughter of Good News and Annagh Lucille who was a two time A1 winner on the track at Limerick. Sassy has been showing plenty of pace in her schooling trials and recorded 1724 in her first and so far only official trial around Clonmel earlier this month. Nice young bitch prospect with a totally clean card who should quickly progress through the grades.
EMERALD WARRIOR – Unraced September 2021 son of Dorotas Wildcat and Emerald Breeze who has been given plenty of time to mature into his 78lb frame before being asked too many serious questions. Dam Breeze is a full sister to 2020 English Derby Finalist Southwood Jet so it maybe comes as not too much of a surprise to have seen Warrior stopping the clock in an excellent 2959 at Clonmel in the very first four bend trial of his life. Plenty of potential in this lad and sure to provide his new connections with plenty of fun in the months ahead.
UPTO MY EYES – Unraced daughter of Pestana and Dolce Vita without a single mark on her card. Just an August 2021 whelp this young lady has caught the eye during the rearing process. Reared and thus far schooled by the Matthews team led by the ‘Newry Maestro’ Brendan there is no guessing how far she could go. Looks all set for a top class racing career but those with a good eye will already be marking down the undoubted brood potential later in life.
OPTIC NERVE – This August 2021 son of Droopys Sydney showed he’s very much an above average type with a super qualifying trial around Kilkenny of 2956 when beating off his opposition by fully 11 lengths. Weighing in at 78lb for that effort he looks to have been given plenty of time to mature however it would be no surprise at all to see him posting a real decent clock at Oxford on the day and he is sure to attract plenty of interest from those looking to add a touch of quality to their kennel.
GUSTY MAX – Just the two races on the card of this stunning July 2021 blue brindle dog and he very much showed he has the pace and ability to match his looks when routing his opposition at Waterford on just his second career start by fully 12 ½ lengths in 2918. This pup is a son of Pestana and Nametab Gigi who is a well proven dam of open class offspring and there is nothing to say that Max couldn’t be heading in that direction himself. Will be much sought after.
KILGRANEY LOU – Lightly raced June 2021 daughter of Laughil Blake and Kilgraney Dubh. Lou led for the majority of a mid grade Kilkenny race not too long ago leading until the final stages when picked off by 1 ½ lengths in a decent 2934. Should be well suited to the shorter four bend trips and anything up to and including the likes of Oxford’s 450m distance.
LADBROKES GROOVE – Lightly raced June 2021 son of Good News and Delightful Girl who was one of the leading bitches around Belle Vue between 2015 and 2017 winning multiple times at A1 and open class level. Regularly producing open class offspring Girl is the dam of the sensational Irish open racing superstar Explosive Boy. Groove herself is already a two time race winner with strong running come from behind wins at Clonmel in 2892 and at Cork in 2896. Highly rated youngster who without doubt has open race potential on the track and definite future brood prospects.
SIZZLING MADAM – Unraced June 2021 daughter of Belles Direction and Jaytee Osprey who ran out a stunning winner of the ECC Timber Champion Bitch Stake Final at Galway back in 2014 and has regularly been producing open class offspring since retiring to the breeding paddocks. Madam has just the one trial on her card recording 1689 at Kilkenny.
MAGICAL ELECTRA – Unraced November 2021 bitch from the Good Cody x Antigua Vows litter and what promise this young lady has. Recorded and excellent 1812 Thurles when beating off her litter sister Priya by 6 lengths. Looks very much like this lady will be one for the open / competition class scene here in the UK and her on the day trial will be keenly anticipated by many.
DIRECT LOUIE – Unraced July 2021 son of Kinloch Brae and Young Corbett who is an unraced full sister to the superstar open class performer Run Happy who finished third in the 2019 Irish Derby Final , runner up in the Champion Stakes 2019 and a finalist in The Gold Cup in 2020. Louie won the only trial on his card by ½ length around Galway in a promising 2998.
SAOIRSES BOY – Just the one race on the card of this October 2021 son of Droopys Buick and Melodys Shiny who is a full sister to the sensational 2019 Irish Derby Champion Lenson Bocko. Shiny has thrown plenty of top grade and open class performers in previous litters and looks to have produced a nice type here in the shape of ‘Boy’ who recorded 2946 Limerick in the very first four bend trial of his life. Beaten in the sole race of his life thus far in a trouble marred Derry sprint he advertised his wellbeing since then with a wide margin trial victory around Drumbo Park crossing the finish line 15 lengths clear of his nearest rival in 2939.
ANNUAL CHARGE – Just three races on the card of this January 2021 son of Ballymac Best and Annual Tears and took full advantage of a drop back in trip to land a gamble on his last start at Drumbo Park winning by 3 lengths in 1838. Followed that up just last Saturday night with an even better performance winning in 1826 to complete the double so arrives at Oxford in top form. He’d previously led but been picked up late in a Kilkenny 525 yard race but still managed to record 2960. Could well be ideally suited to the shorter four bend trips available here in the UK where he can put his undoubted early pace to good use.
RAPIDO TIMBER – Unraced dog pup from the highly regarded February 2022 litter of Ballymac Bolger and Ela Juliet. Not a mark on this lads card but is well regarded and fully expected to develop into a useful prospect.
RAPIDO LOLA – Unraced bitch and another from the February 2022 litter of Ballymac Bolger and Ela Juliet. This whole litter are highly thought of with little done so far. Tough at this stage to say just how far these raw youngsters could go so a keen eye or two will be cast on the day of sale.
GOOD ALLSTAR – Unraced June 2021 son of Belles Direction and Jaytee Osprey who has been pleasing in qualifying trials recently with an excellent 2940 Kilkenny last time out. Mother Osprey has produced some really nice open class performers and with plenty to work with from his last time out trial there is no saying when he will stop improving.
STEADFAST – November 2021 bitch pup by Good Cody out of Drifting Abby who was maybe a little unlucky when beaten on her sole start to date at Youghal. The beaten distance doesn’t tell the tale as this bitch lay handy heading into the first before struggling to find her feet on a wet and windy night and had lost all chance before heading onto the back straight. She picked up again from halfway and the run quite simply can be written off. Dam Abby is a full sister to Jaytee Spartacus and has produced some nice types in her litters to date.
HOT BALL – Unraced July 2021 son of the super sire Droopys Sydney out of Hop The Ball who was a pacey open race winner here on the track in the UK and has been producing some quality race winners since retiring to the breeding paddocks. Hop The Ball is of course a daughter of the super brood Toms Delight. Hot Ball has just the one trial on his card coming around Shelbourne Park and he really took the eye with a fantastic 10 length victory over his nearest rival in 1932.
ONWARD ROUTE – Lightly raced July 2021 son of Pestana and Glenegat Mildred who was a top-grade performer on the track and a proven producer of race winners off it. Yet to win in five starts to date but this sought after wide seeded graded has shown ability including a run of 2945 around Clonmel. Likely to benefit from a fresh start to life here in the UK where he should quickly move through the grades and win plenty for his new connections.
LIBERTY JEN – Just two races on the card of this November 2021 daughter of Ballymac Bolger and Liberty Marie and despite not yet to get off the mark has shown a fair level of ability in a couple of decent races. Dam Marie was a really pacey lady with an open class sprint win to her name and she’s been producing similarly pacey individuals in her litters to date.
CHILLED OUT – Unraced December 2021 son of Droopys Jet and Mary The Thief. Stunning brindle and white lad who weighed in for the only trial of his life at 79lb. Given his size he will undoubtedly improve for sometime to come yet still had enough about him at this stage to beat off his sole rival in a two dog Cork trial by a length in 3028.
MAGICAL ZANE – Unraced December 2021 son of Good News and Grangeview West who ran out a superb winner of the 2019 Munster Oaks Final at Waterford. West counts the likes of Grangeview Ten winner of the 2019 Irish Produce Stakes , 2020 Bar One Sprint at Dundalk amongst many other top-class races as well as the sprint sensation and stunning Irish Derby final night sprint winning performer Salacres Punch amongst her siblings. Zane set tongues wagging at Limerick recently with a superb 2883 trial on what was her first ever effort over four bends. An open class prospect from the very top drawer with bloodlines to match.
MAGICAL CEEJAY – Unraced November 2021 son of Good Cody and Antigua Vows who ran out a ten-length winner of a 350-yard trial at Limerick recently. This young lad has been reared to perfection and will arrive with his new connections in top shape ready to get straight into work. Fully expected to make up into a real nice sort.
RAPIDO FIRMINO – Unraced and not a mark on the card of this December 2021 son of Droopys Buick and Scooter. Has very much been pleasing in his homework and early schooling trials and will make a nice type for somebody looking for a young totally unexposed pup.
RAPIDO BEAT – Unraced November 2021 dog pup by Droopys Buick out of Ballintee Annie who was the 2016 Munster Oaks Champion and gone on to produce plenty of open class offspring since. Beat has been well reared and schooled but doesn’t have an official mark on his card. Anything he does on sales day will be improved upon massively in the months ahead.
TRACEYS SYDNEY – Only the three races on the card of this November 2021 son of Droopys Sydney and Traceys Pet but has already shown he’s a pup of huge promise with a 5-length race win around Waterford in 2921 followed up by an even more impressive second place finish at the same venue when beaten just a neck in 2890. This is the maiden litter of Pet and being a daughter of Fear Emoski her close siblings reads like a who’s who of greyhound racing stars. It looks as if this line has produced once more with Sydney all set to become a regular on the open scene here in the UK.
RAPIDO SPOOKS – Unraced December 2021 daughter of Droopys Buick and Scooter who showed she has top class potential when recording a super 2956 on what was her first and so far only four bend trial of her life around Waterford. This young lady has without any doubt got the makings of becoming a really top class sort and her on the day trial around Oxford will be anticipated by many.
DROOPYS CAMELIA – Not a mark on the card of this December 2021 bitch pup by Droopys Buick out of Droopys Saab. Has been showing huge promise at home with the Droopys team and will be many eyes on her on the day trial. Sure to prove very popular amongst bidders.
DROOPYS COZY – Unraced December 2021 daughter of Burgess Bucks and Droopys Isabella who is a proven producer of open and competition class greyhounds. Cozy doesn’t have a mark on her card but is another highly thought of individual from the Droopys team and will improve for some time yet.
BOOZED HERO – Lightly raced August 2021 dog pup who is already a three-time race winner on Irish soil including a best yet of 2901 at Clonmel when leading all the way last time out. This pup doesn’t have to lead to win though as highlighted by a come from behind success at Clonmel in mid-February.
COOLAVANNY CIAN – breeding doesn’t get much better than this for Cian is an August 2021 son of Ballymac Bolger and Yahoo Katie who of course is a daughter of the super brood Yahoo Perlena. Cian has just the one Irish trial on his card when recording 2977 Waterford and also one trial here in the UK where those with a good memory will remember he appeared at the Towcester sale in March. This lad was fully expected by his vendor to produce a run way in excess of the 3098 he recorded and although winning the trial the effort was many lengths shy of what had been expected. The decision was made by his vendor to send the dog back to Ireland so that he could be assessed and sure enough a slight issue with a toe infection was discovered that although minor in its nature looks to have revealed the cause of the disappointing run. Everything is now reportedly A OK and the dog has once again been showing his true colours at home. Connections are expecting a top class run on the day and believe this dog has everything needed to compete at the highest level here in the UK. Weighing in at 80lb he’s a big lad so this extra time will also have served him well as he grows into his frame.
RESERVES
ANDYS BEAUTY – Just two races on the card of this June 2021 greyhound and though there is plenty of improvement to find yet he is young enough to do so and being a wide seed he will appeal to many looking to add a solid grader to their strength.
INFLUENCERS – A raw January 2022 baby who is a daughter of Ballymac Bolger and See Of Class. Just two trials on her card and broke the 30 second barrier when recording 2984 Kilkenny on her first ever effort over four bends. Unlimited improvement from such a young bitch.
RAPIDO SHARON – Unraced December 2021 daughter of Droopys Buick and Scooter. This stunning blue bitch has just the one trial on her card where she recorded 1682 at Waterford. Plenty to come from a promising young lady.
MYSTICAL MANGO – September 2021 son of Good News and Burgess Sarah who absolutely took off at just the second time of asking to win by 11 1/2 lengths in 2858. Mother Sarah was an open class winner on the track here in the UK and her offspring so far have been showing great pace but this lad could very well be the best of them all to date. Competition class performer in the making and one that all the top kennels will be looking to add to their strings.
