The bitch, who has won five of her last six starts, was in irrepressible form again on home sand, taking command early and keeping up a relentless gallop throughout the 640 metres to set up a facile five-length success over Fares Please in 39.08 (-10) and trainer Harry Williams immediately targeted the Stones Bitter Queen Mother Memorial Cup, now worth £4,000 to the winner, which gets under way at Owlerton on Tuesday, March 10.
He said: “She is a bitch with a bit of pace – she has clocked 28.36 for the 480 metres at Newcastle – and she stays forever. She has winning form for 660 metres and Sheffield so the Queen Mother Memorial will be the plan provided she doesn’t come in season.”
