Dean Childs’ runner hasn’t raced since going out of the English Derby in the first round, which was only his fourth race of the year.
Childs’ Droopys Bear, who was a leading fancy for the Golden Jacket this year and made the semi-finals, clocked 16.58sec (-10) in a trial over 285 metres. He is another runner who has suffered a few setbacks in the first half of the year.
