An outbreak of sickness at Maxine Locke’s kennel has seen her runners taken off today’s card.
There have been seven withdrawals, of which two were replaced with reserves.
Romford RM Mark Arkell said: “There is no immediate panic. We’ve taken Maxine’s runners off of today’s and Thursday’s cards and also cancelled her trials for tomorrow.
“There has been an outbreak of sickness and diarrhea on one of the ranges; the rest appear unaffected at this stage. Maxine thinks it might be food poisoning but we will know more when the samples taken by GBGB have been analysed.”
Meanwhile the racing office are taking in the final entries for the Coral Puppy Cup which closes at noon today.
Mark said: “We’ve already got 34 in the book so there shouldn’t be any issue of it filling.”
