ARC can confirm the cancellation of Tuesday evening’s greyhound meeting scheduled at Newcastle due to a track lighting issue. Newcastle’s meeting scheduled for Wednesday will swap with sister track, Sunderland. Moving forward, Newcastle will schedule to race only on morning meetings, to allow a significant upgrade to the lighting system at the track to take place.
ARC Head of Racing, Dave Baldwin, said, “We can only apologise to the owners and trainers at Newcastle and thank them for their patience. We look forward to starting work on installing a new LED lighting system at Newcastle and resume our normal schedule as soon as possible.”
