Blackrose June (Droopys Cain-Dromana Linda, Sep 13) set a new Henlow 428 metre track record on Sunday night. Eric Cantillon’s black, who had set the fastest 460 of the year the previous week (27.21) covered the shorter course in 25.46 (+10), some two lengths inside Saffron Anna’s previous best.
Over the 460 metre course, Westmead Rossi (Coolavanny Bert-Westmead Sula, Nov 13) extended his winning sequence to six with a 27.43 victory.
