Jimmy Wright has a new recruit to his team at his kennels at Alnwick in a promising looking youngster called Droopys Buick.
Only a November 2013 whelp, the son of Yeah Man and Droopys Hilda clocked a 17.45 for Newcastle’s 290 metres on his first sighting of the track and he improved nicely on that in his second spin on Thursday – another solo – in which he produced a tasty 17.08.
Bought unraced from the Dunphy brothers’ stud at Portlaw in Ireland, the dog’s racecourse debut will be eagerly anticipated.
