John Mullins has withdrawn his six runners from Romford’s Friday and two from a graded meeting at Yarmouth due to kennel sickness.
He said: “I withdrew a dog from Nottingham on Monday. It was nothing serious, but I knew he wasn’t quite right. We had the runs in the kennel and by today I was hoping it would be gone. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.
“But I must stress, it is nothing serious. If you were to come into the kennel after we’d cleaned up, you wouldn’t think there is a problem, the dogs are all behaving normally.
“We have nothing out on Saturday but have two runners scheduled to run at Central Park on Sunday which we will reassess on Saturday.
“I have sometimes been to tracks and you know perfectly well that there are dogs there with sickness? Why would anybody do that?”
