Ballymac Mossjoe pleased trainer Barrie Draper in his solo trial spin at Sheffield on Friday night, the dog clocking a calculated 28.63 for the 500 metres on going -20.
The decision has now been taken to bypass the Gold Cup at Monmore in favour of a tilt at the Steel City Cup, which starts at the dog’s home track a week on Tuesday.
