The Ladbrokes Puppy Derby never fails to deliver on quality and Monmore punters can look forward to seeing 36 of the top young juveniles in action in Saturday’s first round.
They include a powerful entry from Patrick Jannsen’s including Seaglass Tiger, (7 wins from 11 races), and fast trialstake winner Goldies Hoddle. Paul Young is also very strongly represented with four excellent youngsters while John McGee and Robert Gleeson provide an Irish interest.
John Mullins believes he has a future star in Swift Biscuit, who has already won five opens this year, and there is certain to be huge interest in King Idol, rated by Rab McNair as potentially among the best pups he has ever handled.
