What does Forest Con have in common have with disqualified Derby winner Droopys Hewitt?
The Ballymac Vic-Droopys Danneel litter – which featured three Ladbrokes Puppy Derby finalists including winner Forest Con – have landed the first, of what will surely be, a string of big race victories. As the pedigree below shows though, that quality is long established in the family.
Of course mum, Droopys Danneel won the 2013 Oaks and finished runner-up in the Kent Derby for Kevin Hutton. There is a close family connection to the former Wallis stars Patchys Kerry and Billys Bullet, plus another Oaks winner in Droopys Stacey. The distaff traces all the way back to great great grand dam Droopys Roberta who came from a litter that included Droopys Hewitt and Frisby Forte who – 15 years and two days before Con’s success – finished first and third in the Ladbrokes Puppy Derby Final.
