Joe’s Nottingham Tips

*** 7.27 – Millbank Boiler (5/4)
** 8.54 – Fire And Ice (11/10)
*9.46 – Sallowglen Hope (9/4)

A quality renewal of the Jenningsbet Puppy Classic gets underway at Nottingham this evening where two of this evenings three bets are to be had.

The Nap of the evening goes in the first heat of the Puppy Classic at 7.27 pm where trap three Millbank Boiler has been behind two of the best puppies around in Droopys Suprstar and March On Freddie in recent outings over C&D.

He should be able to put this race to bed by the third bend as long as he traps on level terms where he should find himself comfortably in front heading into the third turn and any odds against would be a good price.

The Next Best goes in the last heat of the Puppy Classic at 8.54 and another trap three Fire And Ice can dominate this race from lid rise.

Matt Dartnall’s charge trialled well last week clocking 30.25 calculated and although faces tough competition in Ballymac Kinga and Senehel Tedster, Fire And Ice should lead and make all if producing one of his better breaks.

Droopys Extragud can take heat two at 7.44 pm, Missile One can get the better of Brigadier Brindle in heat three, Skeard Josie can get her competition underway by winning heat four and ante post favourite March On Freddie can win a competitive heat five.

Other fancies on the card include Sallowglen Hope in the Jenningsbet Standard Trophy over 500m at 9.46 pm and Good Romeo can land the Jenningsbet Maiden 480m Trophy Final at 9.11 pm

Guys & Dolls Final is set

Dave Lee qualified all of the Dolls, fielding half of the field in the final. Mini Eva was the eventual winner, going a spot slower than the Guys semi-final winner, Dower Pat for Dan Brabon. Ricky Holloway and Tom Heilbron will be responsible for the other two finalists.

9/4 Mini Eva 5/2 Laughil Jess 5/1 All Along, Dower Pat 6/1 Slick Sabo 7/1 Romeo To Victory

Two new FOTY at Sheffield

Both the sprint and six-bend bests were set for 2024 on Sunday afternoon at Owlerton. Bettys Jack clocked 15.71 over 280m on his debut for Colin Handford. It was a perfect start for the combination after the dog left the kennel of Kevin Boon,

Over the stayers’ trip, it was Farneys Willie who claimed the plaudits with a sparkling 38.84. The prior best had been set by Queen Georgia in the final of the Three Steps To Victory back in May. She showed what she can do over six bends with her win at Monmore on Saturday.
