Not far behind was Brain Turner’s British bred Prime Time (Head Bound-Story Time, Mar 15). The litter sister of former record holder Apache Kid has had a stop-start career but impressed with a 29.52 (-20) victory in just the 11th race of her career. One for the notebook!
Fastest over the 450m course was the outstanding pup Freedom Knight (Tyrur Big Mike-Noel Named Holly, Jan 16) with a 27.85 victory. Paul Prior’s black has an 11 race career to date for five wins and four seconds.
