3-1 chance Keplar Six (Crash-Dogstown Lucy, Oct 15) got the ball rolling with a win in the ‘puppy 450’ clocking an impressive 27.54 (-20). (FOY 27.22). Mydras Tipp (Abbeyville Tipp-Mydras Lady, Aug 15) picked up the ‘puppy 483’ in 29.94 (-20). It was the 5-2 favourite’s fourth win in his last five outings.
There were two Thomson runners in the unconfined 450 and it was the lesser fancied (3-1) Calzaghe Billy (Ace Hi Rumble-Alexandra, Jn 14) who came out on top in 27.41. Swift Melampe (Godsend-Swift Salt, May 15) landed the ‘unconfined 483’. The 11-10f clocked 29.63.
Challenging Keplar Six for the ‘run of the night’ performance were the Kelly Macari trained stars. Eclipse/Grand Prix veteran Pinpoint Boom (Shaneboy Lee-Newmarket Lil, Jul 13) clocked the fastest 483 of the night 29.30 (N). Sprinter Pinpoint Mo (Premier Fantasy-Run Shadow Run, Aug 14) clocked the fastest 275 of the year with a 16.67 (-10) run.
