Rail McCoy is expected to make a full recovery following a nasty fall at Romford on Friday night.
The Golden Sprint winner was knocked over after leading to the third bend in a 400m open.
Trainer Mark Wallis said: “McCooy has a bad wrist and front leg injury but I am confident it will be fixed with surgery on Monday.”
Meanwhile, Ted Soppitt has better news on Biscuit Billy, the ARC Puppy Trophy winner who broke a hock at Monmore in July and appeared to have been retired under the injury recovery scheme.
Billy had his first trial back on Friday, a sprint solo at Newcastle where he clocked 17.35 (-10).
Ted Soppitt was delighted with the time and reported that Billy had “come off perfect”.
