Peter Derrick and partner Peter Toon are retiring from their pitch at Nottingham after more than thirty years. Derrick has now moved away from the East Midlands and will be concentrating on point-to-point events predominantly in the Essex and East Anglia area.
He said, ‘ I have enjoyed my time at Nottingham and would like to express my thanks to the Corden family.’
Nottingham Director, Rachel Corden, said ‘We would like to thank Peter Derrick & Peter Toon for their professionalism and commitment to Nottingham and its punters over the last thirty years. We wish Peter Derrick well with his point to point and hope that Peter Toon’s health soon improves.’
Joining the Nottingham ring will be Mark Hill and his team, including daughter Holly, and Mark Jones. Mark Hill has previously stood at Hall Green, Coventry & Perry Barr.
Corden said ‘We are delighted that Mark Hill is joining us. Mark is from an established on-course bookmaking background, both greyhounds and rails. He comes with a great reputation and we look forward to welcoming him and his team to Nottingham’s betting ring at our evening meeting on Monday 23 April.’
