Madams Babe caused a surprise in the final of the Holmes O’Malley Sexton Solicitors Oaks over 525 yards at Limerick.
The big two in the market were Slippery Hanna and Priceless Lassie but early crowding put paid to Slippery Hanna’s chances and Priceless Lassies totally missed the break.
It was left to Brenda Peter’s bitch Madams Babe to make all the running and hold the persistent challenge of Borna Helena by half a length in 28.63sec.
The Cashen Legend bitch has now won her last four races at Limerick but will now head to Shelbourne Park for the Sporting Press Oaks, which starts on Thursday.
