Following the sad news of the passing of Her Majesty The Queen yesterday, we ceased racing at our stadia that were operating fixtures yesterday evening. As an on-going mark of respect we will not be holding greyhound fixtures today and tomorrow.
The remaining five heats of The M Lambe Construction Birmingham Cup and the six heats of the Premier Greyhound Racing St Leger have been moved to Thursday 15 September, with the Semi-Finals on Thursday 22 September. The Finals will now be on Thursday 29 September.
The GBGB have agreed to the move and the Racing Office have spoken with all trainers. The three qualifiers from Heat 1 of the Birmingham Cup have been offered the opportunity to have a trial next Thursday should they wish, rather than waiting thirteen days without a run. We would like to thank the GBGB, trainers and owners for working with us to find a resolution.
