Locally trained runners took the forecast in the Gold Collar and first place in the Guys And Dolls at Crayford on Tuesday night.
The Collar appeared to be at the mercy of Swabys Millward (T4 10-11f) but it developed into a buckle between Yahoo Victor (T2 9-2) and Best Boy Ethan (T6 9-2). Here is how it went.
Owner Karl Brazier added: “If you had said to me three months ago that he would win the Gold Collar I would never have believed you. He was only £2,000 from breeder Shane O’Gorman and although he was fast he just kept finding trouble. Then suddenly it all fell into place and he hasn’t looked back; he has won six of his last eleven races. I am absolutely thrilled.”
The £5,000 Guys and Dolls was equally as exciting and also proved to be a two-runner buckle which went in favour of Katie O’Flaherty’s track champion Brick Mansions and it went like this.
The winner’s time was 23.22 for the 380m and the distance, a head. The son of Godsend has seven wins and three seconds in his last 10 outings.
