Ware based trainer Jean Liles has been appointed as a trainer at Romford. Formerly at Crayford, Towcester and latterly at Central Park, she is expected to bring around 40 greyhounds to London Road.
Incoming racing manager Mark Arkell said: “We informed the other trainers of the decision earlier. We don’t know how long notice Jean will be required to serve by Central Park but her first dogs are due to trial tomorrow and I expect there will be a number in the opens on Friday.
“Jean has runners for all distances and grades including a couple of marathon runners plus a decent number of pups. She is also geographically well placed being close to the A10.
“There was considerable interest in the position which is well worth knowing looking further ahead.”
