It has been a month since our last catch-up on the landmark races of some of the industry’s faithful servants – as a result, many will have raced on at least a couple of subsequent occasions – writes Floyd Amphlett.
14 of the 18 tracks (prior to Suffolk Downs) are featured. Of the 42 runners, no less than eight are from Swindon, including two on the 150 mark.
Quite what we ascertain from that is open to speculation. While some may claim it reflects comparatively low grades, the less cynical might point to a safe circuit and well prepared surface!
One other interesting note, all three Nottingham centurions are ex-Belle Vue runners ‘Nidderdale’ hounds trained by Jill Llewellin.
