Kevin Hutton has confrimed that fastest semi final winner Rioja Joey is lame and will not contest next Tuesday’s Bresbet Steel City Cup decider.
He said: “Donna is on the way back from Gabriel’s and X-rays show that there is damage to the fcu tendon but thankfully no bone damage. He’ll be off around three months but the vet is confident he’ll make a full recovery. I’ll withdraw him officially in the morning.”
