Droopys Bonucci’s 27.91 – on going rated at .20 slow (there is an error on semi final form below) dominated the first round of the Ladbrokes Puppy Derby at Monmore on Thursday.
The son of Droopys Cain and the six-time Cat 1 finalist Droopys Loner, went to traps at 5-2 in the final heat. After blasting clear in the fastest sectional of the evening, the Dean Childs runner made it three wins from four outings. Only two of the six favourites were successful on the night, though only Droopys Argento failed to make it through to the semi finals where Ballymac Dema has since been withdrawn.
