Alec Stone’s Alma Prince warmed up for the Regency with victory in the sole Trial Stakes over 695 metres.
The Nottingham track champion came from last to first to nail Golden Jacket runner-up Bubbly Time on the line and score by half a length in 41.96sec (-30).
Tony Taylor’s Brinkleysdominic (5-1) upset short-priced favourite Britania Belucky in the Novice Stayers Contest when leading off the third turn to last home by a head in 41.89sec.
